Abstract: Objective: To explore the effect of multivariate nursing intervention in oral health of chronic inpatients with chronic psychosis. Methods: 86 chronic psychiatric inpatients were selected from hospital chronic wardsm and divided into observation group and control group according to the random number table. The control group was given routine oral nursing intervention , the observation group was given multi-group nursing interventions for 4 weeks on the basis of routine oral nursing intervention, and the bad breath and oral health of the patients in the two groups were compared before and after the first week, the fourth week and the eighth week. Results:Before intervention, there was no significant difference between the two groups in the scores of bad breath and oral health (P> 0.05), but the scores of bad breath and oral health in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group at 1 week, 4 weeks and 8 weeks after the end of the intervention, p <0.05, the difference was statistically significant. There were significant differences in the scores of oral bad breath and oral health in the observation group at different time points, P <0.05, statistically significant, while the control group had no significant change, P> 0.05, not statistically significant. Conclusion : Group multivariate nursing intervention is effective in the oral health of chronic psychotic inpatients, it can significantly reduce the degree of bad breath and improve the oral health of the patients,so it is worthy of popularization and application.
