【Abstract】Objective: To study the clinical efficacy of laparoscopic holmium laser lithotripsy and laparoscopic lithotomy on middle and lower ureteral calculi. Methods: A total of 90 patients with ureteral calculi were divided into observation group and control group, 45 patients in each group. Patients in control group were treated by laparoscopic lithotomy and patients in observation group were treated by laparoscopic holmium laser lithotripsy. The stone clearance and recurrence, perioperative data and complication rates were compared between two groups. Results: There was no significant difference of calculi clearance rate and recurrent rate between two groups(P>0.05). The operative time, blood loss, hospital stay, analgesic usage and control group in observation group were statistically less than those in control group(P<0.01). The incidence of postoperative complications has no significant difference between the two groups (x2=0.212,P>0.05). Conclusion : Both surgical methods are safe and effective treatment on ureteral calculi, but laparoscopic holmium laser lithotripsy surgery less damage and faster recovery after surgery, has clinical value.
